Matt and Julia | Salt Lake City | Utah Wedding Photographer

I've concede on the point that I'll never be able to shoot every beautiful location the Salt Lake valley has to offer, There's just too many of them to chose from; Suncrest, Downtown, Big Cottonwood Canyon, Little cottonwood Canyon. The list goes on and on. Recently, Emigration Canyon, just up by Hogle Zoo won out. The rolling mountains, accompanied by the reservoir created the perfect backdrop for Matt and Julia's Formal session. These two are go-getters. The kind of couple you hear people discuss when they talk about who they want to be like. Active, driven, sun drenched lives. I'm glad they came all the way from Arizona to capture Julia's home town in all it's glory.

Jay and Stacy | Provo Canyon | Utah Wedding Photographer

There are times when I sit down to write a blog post, and words elude me. Right now is one of those times. The reason being is that Jay and Stacy are more than just wedding clients.

They are my friends. I love them.

I love being around Jay when he makes i̶n̶a̶p̶p̶r̶o̶p̶r̶i̶a̶t̶e̶  jokes, and the I love seeing the face and hearing the laughter Stacy makes when he does. I love seeing Stacy grow as a photographer, and when she publishes new work it makes me smile. Jay is actually a photographer too. The first editorial shoot I ever did was with him. I winch now when I look at those images that were taken in the Wasatch mountains, but I learned so much from him in doing so, and the whole experience is one I treasure.0

What I'm really trying to say is, I'm glad they have found each other I'm glad they balance each other's personality so well. The fact that they live to make each other happy is easy to see. Here's a little glimpse into their river side engagement session.

Zak and Lacee | Little Cottonwood Canyon | Utah Wedding Photographer

There's something about the Utah landscape that screams romance. Zak and Lacee definitely have been experiencing similar feelings. Although this was actually an editorial piece for www.mybridalcloset.com, the cords of passion were definitely present in the air for Zak and Lacee, as we shot this bridal shoot.

Nephi and Bethanie Garcia | Little Cotton Wood Canyon | Utah Wedding Photographer

Nephi Garcia is one of the countries finest couture dress designers; If you can't tell from the 6 yard train on this amazing gown, and the 9 yard train on the veil! He has recently launched www.nephigarcia.com where his had made gowns can be found. As always, I was completely amazed by his work.

Quinten and Lacie | Tibble Fork Canyon | Utah Wedding Photographer

I don't think I've ever had a someone laugh so much on a shoot as Lacie did today. I'm also pretty sure I didn't have much to do with it. Quinten and Lacie have just such a wonderful energy and lust for life about them. It took me about 5 minutes to realise that this shoot was going to be so much FUN! Lacie is so contagiously full of life, and Quinten is up for pretty much anything. We drove up the canyon to find sundrenched vistas, and ended up by Tibble Fork Canyon Reservoir. We were able to shoot some beautiful portraits in this serene part of Utah.  As we shot their portraits by the beautiful mountains, we got to know these two.

This beautiful gown is a Maggie Sottero, from www.mybridalcloset.com.
